1976 found 2 friends and myself wandering the roads of Canada with a Voyager bus pass, and little else, in our pockets, on journey to meet our northern neighbor. We happened upon the First Annual Festival for the Folks in Ottawa, parked our traveling feet for the night, and were introduced to the Pied Pumkin String Ensemble. What a show! With our last few dollars, one of my friends and I co-purchased a Pied album. After we returned home, several (very diplomatic) discussions left me in sole possession of this recording. Recently I realized that I could see through the worn grooves, and embarked on another journey (this time online) to see if I could find a replacement. I found your CDs and, once again, your music is in the air. I wanted to thank you; for the show 32 years ago and for the music today. I have wonderful memories of Canada and you are one of them.
